COURSE TRAINING: PREVENTIVE CONTROLS FOR HUMAN FOOD
The Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation was published in September 2015. This regulation requires that certain activities in a facility or plant must be completed by a “preventive controls qualified individual” (PCQI). The goal of this course is to train individuals to become a PCQI. This training uses the standardized curriculum developed by FSPCA. This curriculum has been recognized by the FDA. Successfully completing this Preventive Controls for Human Foods course is one way to meet the requirements for becoming a PCQI. This is a 2.5-day course and will cover all 16 chapters in the standard curriculum. Participants are required to finish all training modules. Classroom activities and exercises are designed to provide opportunities for better understanding the regulation and developing food safety plans.
